Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. <br />State Office Building, Room 119 <br />St. Paul, MN 55155-1206 <br />Dear Senator Marty: <br />We are writing this letter to urge that you support the passage of House File 1113/Senate File 772 which <br />would remove the sunset date on the ability of Ramsey County to collect a small fee on every mortgage <br />and deed filing to fund the Ramsey CountysEnvironmental Response Fund. <br />clean-up environmentally contaminated properties. As a fully built-out county, the ERF program is a <br />needed tool to help foster redevelopment of brownfield sites. <br />The fund is especially important for suburban communities such as Roseville that is now experiencing <br />brownfield redevelopment. In fact, the City of Roseville has utilized $265,000 from ERF to assist in <br />cleaning up properties that led to the building of roads and infrastructure within the Twin Lakes area. Not <br />only did the use of the ERF funds create construction jobs and assist in cleaning up the property, it has <br />Once again, we urge your support of House File 1113/Senate File 772.
