<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 05/10/04 <br />Miuutes - Page 2 <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing reconvened the meeting at 7:30 p.rn. in the City Oath of Office <br />Hall Council Chambers with the Oath of Office administered to <br />Councilmember Amy Ihlan by former Minnesota Secretary of <br />State Joan Grow; followed by expressions of gratitude and <br />recognition of family, friends and colleagues, campaign workers <br />other candidates, and the Roseville citizens for their involvement <br />in the election process. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan provided some brief remarks, commenting <br />on her excitement in the strong vote of confidence from the <br />electorate, her desire to "get to work," and her commitment to <br />work together with fellow Councilmembers in working through <br />differences and focus on their common ground, not their <br />differences. Councilmember Ihlan concluded her comments by <br />recognizing that each of the Councilmembers and the citizens of <br />Roseville cared about the community, and were all committed to <br />doing their best to make the community better. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Call Roll, Approve Agenda and Receive Public Comment <br />about City Issues <br />Mayor called to order the regular portion of the City Council <br />meeting at 7:50 p.m.; noting that all Councilmembers were <br />present with the exception of Councilmember Maschka; and <br />inviting those not staying for the formal meeting to continue <br />mingling in the lobby over cake and coffee. <br /> <br />Call Roll <br />Approve Agenda <br />Public Comment <br /> <br />City Attorney Scott Anderson was also present. <br /> <br />Agenda Approval Agenda Approval <br />Mayor Klausing called for any comments or discussion on <br />tonight's Agenda. There were no comments. <br /> <br />2. Public Comment about City Issues Public Comment <br />Mayor Klausing called for public comment by members of the <br />audience on any non-agenda items. <br /> <br />A. Barbara Obeda, 2910 N Asbury Street <br />Mrs. Obeda commented positively and complimented the <br />recent work of the Clean-up Committee in Roseville. Mrs. <br />Obeda specifically noted the areas along County Road C, <br />Hamline Avenue and along the railroad track rights-of- <br />
