City Council Study Session - 04/19/04
Minutes - Page 27

Further discussion included the framework and implementation
options available for such a joint venture.

John Kysylyczyn, 3083 Victoria Street
Mr. Kysylyczyn opined no opposition to a joint meeting, but
reminded Councilmembers that there were actually three (3)
districts within the City: Roseville, Mounds View and Private
Schools (i.e., Concordia Academy and Charter Schools). Mr.
Kysylyczyn requested a cost-benefit analysis of the meeting,
staff time, elected official compensation, meeting minute
preparation, cable television coverage); and questioned whether
the cost of the meeting would justify the goals or outcomes, or if
they would prove to be unproductive.

Mayor Klausing directed City Manager Beets to have staff
prepare a preliminary list of city issues related to both School
Districts (i.e., building maintenance contract) for Council
consideration, at which time consideration could also be given to
formalizing an agenda and scheduling a meeting date.

Mayor Klausing reminded residents of the Special Municipal
election to be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2004.

City Manager Beets noted that polling precincts were at the same
locations.

Councilmember Kough wished all candidates well and
encouraged citizens to exercise their right to vote.

15.
