It sounds like the project was
successful,
and an "April Clean Up" project will become a part of the annual
calendar.

To consider: Establishing Mayas the "Natural Resource Management
Month"
for Roseville. (Hopefully someone else can come up with a catchier
title)

The idea -- have month of May set up in a series of coordinated efforts
for
Buckthorn Removal; planting flowers on Lex; planting/managing resources
in
the Arboretum; planting trees(?); etc.

will help in establishing a series of dates for organizing and
supervising items such as Buckthorn removal
- - right time of the year to do this -- dry enough (usually); warm
enough;
vegetation is budding; people not on vacation; and no mosquitoes.

Many areas, such as planting flowers on Lex, are organized well now.
But
it's worthwhile to send out a clear message that May is reserved for
all
sorts of activities along the lines of improving the natural resources
of
Roseville.

Hopefully we can "plant the seed" on this worthwhile volunteer
initiative.

Regards,
Jake
