Mayor Klausing directed staff to return with additional information, impacts and implications for consideration of proceeding with action. Mr. Welsch noted that he would provide several alternatives for Council consideration. 8. Update on County Road B-2 Street and Path/Sidewalk A petition from residents; as well as a "flyer" entitled, "What you need to know about the B-2 Pathway" against pathway and sidewalk construction on County Road B-2 was provided as bench handouts, which are attached hereto and made a part thereof. Mayor Klausing commented that he sincerely hoped that the flyer, and any misinformation it implied, would not be detrimental to tonight's discussion; and that no formal action was proposed at tonight's meeting. Mayor Klausing noted that a future Public Hearing would be scheduled, and that he and Councilmembers were also available individually to hear input as well outside of a public meeting. Not included in the Council Agenda packet, but noted by staff and the audience, was a mailing from staff to residents advising that the City Council would be discussing this issue at tonight's meeting. City Manager Beets reviewed the mailings that had been provided by staff to residents, noting that tonight's meeting had been noticed to residents by staff. Mr. Beets advised that staff was seeking direction tonight, given the grant timeframe, necessitating potential action by the Council tonight if they wished to revise or halt the process of previous direction to staff.
