~~~" \~/J~bt~
I /1'\ ! -',
lot="- f tJ
u
-
III III III
On Monday June 21, at 6pm, the Roseville City Council is going to discuss
the B..2 pathway project at their meeting and is looking for your input.
The purpose of this meeting is to tell you that you need a pathway for the 3 people
per day that would walk on it.
They will also want to spend only Roseville money to rebuild the street, even
though County roads are supposed to be paid for by all Ramsey County residents.
They will want to install storm sewers so they can put a sidewalk on both sides of
the street (so the 3 people per day can have a change of scenery).
They also want to bury the electricity underground which will require you to
personally spend up to $5000 per home for new electrical upgrades.
No one on the pathways committee (they are the ones that want it), even lives on
a street that is ever going to get a pathway! In addition, they have given money to
Craig Klausing, Dean Maschka, and Amy Ihlan campaigns.
Did you know that you would not be able to park your car on the driveway where
the pathway crosses or anywhere on the street without getting a ticket? Also, they
will not guarantee in writing that they will always shovel the snow. You also will be
stuck picking up all of the additional trash.
The cost of this project will exceed $4,000,000. Your cost will be:
. Additional taxes on your electric bill & water bill
. Additional property taxes
. Assessments of $7500-$10,000 per home plus interest
. Underground electrical burial costs in your home of up to $5000
. Lower property values
The council thinks they know what's good for us even though 700/0 of us don't
want it! City Manager Neal Beets said "ignore the people who don't want the path
because there is a larger silent majority that wants it built!"
,
l1li
k
a
I
l1li
t
