Driscoll, Margaret
From:
ant: Monday, August 09, 2004 10:47 AM
~ o: city.council@ci.roseville.mn.us
Subject: Twin Lakes Development - Budget
Dear Mayor Klausing and Council Members,
Prudent decisions on the future of Roseville are about to be made and it
rests in your hands, with the input of the residents of Roseville.
Much has been learned from the Twin Lakes Project over the past year for all
of us. It also has, or should have, made us think about what direction we
want our city to go forward with to maintain the quality of life we expect. It
has not been in vain.
As I have stated before, it is time to put Twin Lakes Development on "Hold".
Let us not make a serious, unrepairable, costly mistake. As it now stands,
I disapprove strongly of the project and that includes the "Big Box"-Costco-,
and subsidizing for the developers. A moratorium is required.
With a decision on budget near at hand, consider setting aside monies for
maintaining what we have and revitalizing residential areas that are
deteriorating. Building permits and zonings must be carefully monitored. Apartments,
condos, townhouses also must be limited.
Please, don't make a rush decision that could cause unrepairable hard to our
treasured city.
Thank you.
alga Henderson
Iona Circle
Roseville, MN 55113
1
