Appoint Council Liaison to the BRA? Appoint Council <br />F our members of the HRA were present for discussion Liaison to the <br />ofHRA and City Council issues. BRA? <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing asked HRA Chair Bill Majerus to <br />expound on his perception of the HRA's role in the <br />community. <br /> <br />Chair Majerus opined that housing was important now <br />and to the future of Roseville. Mr. Majerus expressed <br />the HRA's commitment, individually and as a body, to <br />accomplish the Council's desire for the betterment of <br />the community; and recognized and endorsed the <br />collaborative goals of the City Council and the HRA <br />to make Roseville a better place. Mr. Majerus <br />encouraged moving forward to accomplish those goals <br />and programs. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing addressed the background about <br />recent HRA action, and Council reaction and <br />discussion, regarding the implementation of Eminent <br />Domain proceedings at 2012 Eldridge; and the home's <br />subsequent demolition by the owner. <br /> <br />Speaking for himself, Mayor Klausing explained that <br />his concern was not a questioning of individual HRA <br />motivations, but to his perception of the role and <br />authority of the City Council as the City's elected <br />policy makers, and a need to protect that role. Mayor <br />Klausing opined that, as elected officials, <br />Councilmembers have the "feel" of the community; <br />
