<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall on Monday, the fourteenth day of July, 1997, <br />at 6:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mastel, Maschka, Wi ski, Goedeke, and Wall and the <br />following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Wiski introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 9428 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT <br />AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br />WESTERN A VENUE, MINNESOTA A VENUE, CIVIC CENTER DRIVE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, phase two of the Pavement Management Program includes mill and overlay <br />improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Avenue from Lovell Avenue to Rice Street, Western Avenue from <br />County Road B-2 to County Road C, and Civic Center Drive from County Road C to Woodhill <br />Drive are programmed for mill and overlay; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Western Avenue, S.AP. 160-222-07, Minnesota Avenue, S.AP. 160-223-04, and <br />Civic Center Drive, S.AP. 160-222-07 are part of the City ofRoseville's Municipal State system <br />and are eligible for State Aid funds; <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City ofRoseville, Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. City Project P-97-12, mill and overlay improvements of Minnesota Avenue, Western Avenue, <br />and Civic Center Drive, is hereby approved. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the~, the official newspaper, <br />and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such approved <br />plans and specifications. The advertisement for bids shall be published as required by law, <br />shall specify the work to be done, shall call the bids on the basis of cash payment for such <br />work, shall state that the bids will be received by the City Manager and Director of Public <br />Works on August 19, 1997, at which time they will be publicly opened in the City Hall by <br />the City Manager and subsequently be considered by the City Council; and that no bids will <br />be considered unless sealed and filed with the Manager and accompanied by a cash deposit, <br />certified check, or bid bond payable to the Manager for ten percent of the amount of such <br />bid. <br />
