Their request would require <br />candidates to provide the city the names of all people who <br />donated more than $100 to their-campaign. <br /> <br />They state that their proposal would-do the following: ' <br />· "Encoura:ge" greater openness:an~: freedom of inform'ation in <br />the campaign proc~ss; allpwing t~e public to know which <br />individuals and organizations are supporting or opposing <br />candidates and ballot questions in city elections." <br />· "Providing information to monitor and evaluate influences on <br />elections or possible conflicts of interest on council votes." <br /> <br />.: <br /> <br />-" <br /> <br />1 <br />
