<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 4/28/03 <br />Page 11 <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder sought staff clarification <br />regarding the approximate number of households <br />affected if the AGI were raised to $50,000. <br /> <br />Finance Director Miller, in reviewing 2000 census <br />data, attempted to estimate the number of households <br />that would be eligible. <br /> <br />There was some dispute among Councilmembers and <br />staff regarding the projected households represented <br />with the data. <br /> <br />Roll Call (Kysylyczyn Amendment) <br />Ayes: Schroeder and Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: Klausing, Maschka and Kough. <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Schroeder seconded, an <br />amendment to provide a one-hundred percent <br />(100% ) discount for those under federal poverty <br />guidelines. <br /> <br />Roll Call (Kysylyczyn Second Amendment) <br />Ayes: Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: Klausing, Maschka, Schroeder and Kough. <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn moved, without a second, an amendment <br />to provide cap for AGI at $100,000. <br /> <br />Kough called for a majority vote to close debate and <br />return to the original motion. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn withdrew his amendment. <br /> <br />Further discussion ensued regarding the maIn <br />motion. <br /> <br />Councilmember Klausing concurred with several <br />comments made by Mr. Sands and Ms. Frank; <br />expressed his appreciation for the discussion held up <br />to this point, the historical perspective provided, and <br />
