Mr. Sands encouraged Councilmembers <br />to leave the system as it is for seniors, and add those <br />under age 65 who meet program poverty guidelines. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn advised that the Council had <br />initiated a review of the existing discount program <br />due to a citizen inquiry approximately nine (9) <br />months ago. <br /> <br />Joan Bean, 701 West Eldridge Avenue <br />Ms. Bean expressed confusion regarding the <br />motion's intent; but encouraged leaving the senior <br />discount in place on behalf of the senior citizens in <br />the community. <br /> <br />Doug Wilke <br />Mr. Wilke addressed other government entities that <br />offer senior discounts for programs. <br /> <br />Richard Verhagen, 176 Owasso Boulevard South <br />Dr. Verhagen opined that "I'll take any break I can <br />get," as an upcoming senior citizen. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn closed the Public hearing at 8:23 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn read two (2) written comments <br />received regarding the senior utility discount. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough expressed his appreciation <br />for continuing this item from the previous meeting to <br />further analyze information. Councilmember Kough <br />proceeded to review his research on the issue and <br />spoke in favor of continuing the existing senior <br />discount program. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder opined that, while from a <br />
