Consider Permit for Lake Owasso Water Ski Course <br />and Jump <br />Maschka moved, Schroeder seconded, approval of the <br />Lake Owasso Safe Boating Association's request for a <br />permit to place a water ski course and water ski jump on <br />Lake Owasso for the 2003 season. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn opened the Public Hearing at 7:42 p.m. <br /> <br />Steve Youngquist, 391 South Owasso Boulevard <br />Mr. Youngquist, as a member of the Lake Owasso Safe <br />Boating Association, spoke of the Roseville tradition since <br />1965 of the Association, the course and jump, and <br />requested Council approval. <br /> <br />No one else spoke for or against. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn closed the Public Hearing at 8:44 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn referenced two e-mail communications <br />received in support of the request; and City Manager Beets <br />distributed an additional letter of support (Bench Handout) <br />dated May 11,2003 from Joe Bester, 460 West Horseshoe <br />Drive. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough expressed apprecIatIon for the <br />positive responses received regarding the request, and <br />encouraged the Association to consider advertising a <br />public performance. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka, Kough, Klausing, Schroeder, and <br />Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Hearings <br /> <br />Consider Permit <br />for Lake Owasso <br />Water Ski Course <br />and Jump <br /> <br />C.
