<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City of Roseville, County <br />of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall on Monday, the 27st day of <br />March, 2006, at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Pust, Ihlan, Kough and Klausing <br /> <br />and the following were absent: none. <br /> <br />Council Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 10387 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT FOR CENTRAL COMMUNITY HOUSING TRUST <br />APPLICATION FOR RAMSEY COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br />GRANTS (CDBG)/HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP (HOME) FUNDS IN 2006 <br />FOR THE PURCHASE OF HAR MAR APARTMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Har Mar Apartments, located in the City of Roseville was identified by <br />the City as an apartment complex in need of renovation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Har Mar Apartments with a 50% vacancy rate is struggling in the market <br />place and in need of reinvestment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Har Mar Apartments is in need of moderate to substantial rehabilitation, <br />as well as new marketing and management strategy; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Central Community Housing Trust, a reputable Twin Cities affordable <br />housing developer proposed to renovate the Har Mar Apartments and build new units at the site <br />in Roseville with a mix of affordable and work force housing apartments. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Roseville hereby supports <br />and strongly recommends funding to Central Community Housing Trust for the purchase of the <br />Har Mar Apartments with the goal to renovate the existing unit mix and make considerable <br />iInprovements to the building exteriors, add landscaping, recreation areas, and significantly <br />improve the curb appeal to convey current apartment community trends. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member <br />Pust and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Maschka, Pust, Ihlan, <br />Kough and Klausing <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: none <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Roseville City Council this 27st day of March, 2006 <br />
