<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 07/21/03 <br />Page 23 <br /> <br />Susan Bride, 1802 Oakcrest <br />Ms. Bride concurred with Mr. Pedersen's comments in <br />support of retaining parking on the north side; reiterating <br />his concerns regarding intersection visibility and excessive <br />speeds on a residential street. <br /> <br />Al Sands, 2612 AIdine <br />Mr. Sands recommended "No Parking" Oakcrest and <br />enforcing parking restrictions, as per State Statute, at <br />intersections; as well as code enforcement issues with <br />shrubbery blocking visibility. <br /> <br />Councilmembers Klausing, Maschka, Schroeder and <br />Kough, as well as Mayor Kysylyczyn concurred support <br />for leaving parking on the north side. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn recommended that, given the <br />discussion at tonight's meeting, neighbors discuss various <br />options available to alleviate their individual concerns, <br />utilizing Mr. Pedersen's historical expertise, and reach a <br />consensus to bring forward to Council by petition. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder, Maschka, Klausing, Kough and <br />Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Kough seconded, directing staff to <br />delay re-striping of Oakcrest Avenue for two (2) weeks to <br />allow neighbors to discuss their preferences. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder, Maschka, Klausing, Kough and <br />Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning Consultant Thomas Paschke requested that <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn poll remaining audience members to <br />determine if there was any contest for Consent Agenda <br />planning issues.
