What a sad exam
of leadership and common courtesy. Not only does his e-mail contain inaccuracies but he
conveniently left out relevant information. What he should have shared is the following:
# 1- That Joe Machyowsky came to the RCC meeting even though he is not a member and
took copious notes which obviously were then shared with the Mayor.

#2- That Joe was given a courteous welcome and was even offered a ride home when he
discovered that he had lost his keys.

#3- That the major agenda item was a presentation by Geogiana Hall from the League of
Women Voters on their study of the Roseville Fire and Medical Services.

#4- That other agenda items included a report on Excel Energy issues around local
neig hborhood blackouts etc.

#5- That a through discussion of the many options relative to the appointment process and
a special election did take place and a 15 to 1 vote occurred. The recommendations are contained
in a letter to the editor in Saturdays Pioneer Press.

#6- That 16 people can testify that Joe made a mistake in his sharing of information back to
the Mayor because at no time during the meeting was their a IIspecial emphasis to encourage
phone calls to Tom Kough. Thanks for the idea Mayor. We will follow up on your suggestion!!

#7- That both Tammy Pust and Amy Ihlan were invited to attend seeing that they are not
current political candidates. That Tammy was able to come for just a few minutes because of
another obligation and Amy had a conflict.

The Mayors closing comment II Expect these people to exhibit some bad behavior at the
council meeting next Mondayll is really unbelievable. This comment from a person who r-egularly :

Treats some of his fellow council members in a rude and condescending manner.
Puts down staff members through cross examination if they give accurate reports that he
doesn't agree with. Even to the point of asking if they live in Roseville.
Interrogates citizens when they try and present information.

11/24/2003
