Recognitions, Donations, Communications <br /> <br />5.a <br /> <br />Proclaim Arbor Day <br />At the request of Mayor Klausing, City Manager Beets <br />briefly reviewed the annual membership of the City in <br />the Tree City USE program, and proclamation of a <br />specific day as Arbor Day to recognize the importance <br />of trees and promotion of their proper care and <br />planting of additional tree species to replace those lost <br />over the years. <br /> <br />Ih1an moved, Pust seconded proclaiming that April 28, <br />2006 be named Roseville Arbor Day. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ih1an; Kough; Maschka; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />5.b <br /> <br />Accept a Donation from the Roseville Community <br />Fund for the Community Emergency Response <br />Training Program <br />Police Chief Carol Sletner noted the overwhelming <br />response by citizens desiring involvement in the <br />Citizens' Emergency Response Team (CERT) <br />training. <br /> <br />Counci1member Pust sought clarification of other <br />donations previously received. <br /> <br />Chief Sletner noted that Marshall Fields had donated <br />$500 to the program; and with this donation of $1,800 <br />from the Roseville Community Fund, no additional <br />funding would be sought. <br /> <br />Kough moved, Ih1an seconded, approval to accept the <br />donation of $1,800.00 in funding to the Police <br />Department for implementation of the Roseville <br />Citizens' Emergency Response Team (CERT). <br /> <br />Recognitions, <br />Donations, <br />Communications <br /> <br />Proclamation <br />Arbor Day <br /> <br />Donation <br />Roseville Community <br />Fund Community <br />Emergency Response <br />Training Program <br />
