<br />Regular City Council- 12/15/03 Minutes <br />Page 15 <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn noted that he had already called a <br />Special Council meeting for Thursday, December 18, <br />2003, and advised that the issue would come up at that <br />time. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough questioned why applications could <br />not be opened up immediately, with the City Attorney <br />nlaking a determination as to how soon a Special Election <br />could be scheduled; with action considered at the January <br />5, 2004 Council meeting. <br /> <br />City Manager Beets, in response to comments from Mayor <br />Kysylyczyn, noted that the staff report's inclusion of two <br />dates were in consideration of if the Council called a <br />Special Election for April 20 or April 27, 2004; noting that <br />all polling places had not been confirmed for both dates at <br />the time the report was prepared. Ci ty Manager Beets <br />noted that staff could not confirm additional dates until <br />further direction was received from the City Council as to <br />their preferred date for the Special Election. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough, Maschka and Klausing. <br />Nays: Schroeder and Kysylyczyn. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder requested that staff talk to <br />community religious leaders regarding Passover and <br />implications to the election timetable. <br /> <br />Councilmember Klausing concurred, directing that staff <br />provide the information to Councilmembers via staff <br />report at the January 5, 2004 meeting. <br /> <br />X. <br /> <br />Ordinances & Resolutions <br /> <br />XI. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Ordinances & <br />Resolutions <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />A.
