EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 15th day of December, 2003, at 6:30 p.m. The following members were present: and the following were absent: introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Council Member RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 20 FOOT VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.02D4 OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR DAN NORRIS 1547 SEXTANT AVENUE (PF3541). WHEREAS, Dan Norris has requested a VARIANCE to Section 1004.02D4 of the Roseville City Code to allow the construction of an attached garage on to the west side of his existing home; and WHEREAS, the Norris parcel is located at 1547 Sextant Avenue, and legally described as: Part of Lot 4, Block 4, and all of Lot 5, Block 4, Verde Haven. PIN: 10-29-23-23-0063 WHEREAS, Section 1004.02D4 reads: "A side yard adjacent to a street an a comer lot shall not be less than 30 feet"; WHEREAS, Mr. Norris seeks approval to encroach 22 feet into the required setback adjacent a public street; and WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commissio A=r~l:>lic hearing regarding the Norris request on December 3,2003, recommending (7- approval 'f a 20 foot VARIANCE to Section 1004.02D4 of the Roseville City Code, based on the findings of Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated December 3, 2003; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to APPROVE a 20 foot VARIANCE to Section 1004.02D4 of the Roseville City Code for Dan Norris, 1547 Sextant Avenue, subject to the following conditions; a. The attached garage being limited to a depth of 26 feet, a length of 48 feet, and an overall size of 1,196 sq. f1. 1
