Lots of angry people who will miss community ed options <br />2. Many seniors who lack place of connecting <br />3. Diminished quality of life - early childhood, adult ed, seniors <br />4. Loss of senior center, meeting rooms, community ed, pool, rec facilities, would <br />mean loss of local connection. Would break up existing community interactions. <br />5. The less affluent/less social group of citizens would go without these <br />opportunities. <br />6. Would increase loss of centering for our community and defining our community. <br />7. Loss of indoor and outside space for all of us. <br />8. It would create a big hole. <br />9. Loss of part of our community identity. <br />10. Would fragment out community interaetions with each other. <br />11. Loss of the district's "hub" for educational development - meeting space (for us <br />and others) <br />12. Loss of meeting space of regional educators <br />13. Diminish our community compared to others. <br />14. Limit our ability to attract people into our eommunity to live. <br />15. Negative effects on property values. <br />16. Sadness and sense of loss by our community members. <br />17. Diminished sense of the eommunity's sense of self-worth. <br />18. Limiting the active living part of peoples' lives. <br />19. Loss of intergenerational and cultural interaction. <br /> <br />Group Green <br /> <br />1. Program offerings compromised <br />2. Loss of place to create a sense of community. <br />3. Those at margins would lose out (ECFE, senior programs Adult High School, <br />others than that not a significant difference. <br />4. Define what a community center is. Not sure this building is a community center. <br />5. Expand the model of a community center. <br />6. Loss community center is a loss of focus for the community <br />7. Focus community on health and over 50 activities <br />8. Community center create happy vision <br />9. Not competitive for young families (have competing centers) <br />10. Helps pull us together as a community - common ill <br />
