ROSEVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEETING
May 22, 2006

TO: Mayor and City Council members
SUBJECT: Roseville Twin Lakes LLC Interim Use Permit

Weare here to support the Twin Lakes LLC Interim Use Permit.

This temporary recycling plant is an environmentally sound, effective,
and efficient way to deal with the concrete and paving material on the site.

Saving Langton Lake has always been about the environment and the
wildlife. As environmentalists, we worked in a positive way with the city of
Roseville, Ramsey County, Department of Natural Resources, and the
Pollution Control Agency to save the lake and establish the park.

Weare not experts, but we were expert enough to save Langton Lake
with the help and support of many people. During 34 years, we never used
scare tactics to incite people for our cause.

So - Who are the TRUE friends of Langton Lake?

1. Who was there to stop the filling in of the south end of the lake?
2.Who worked on the Shoreline Ordinance that became law for all of Minnesota?
3. Who worked on getting the first weir installed to prevent the petroleum products
and other run-off from entering the lake from the PIK Terminal site?
4. Who worked with "Dutch" Hebbe to inventory and keep the wildlife there?
5. Who helped get County Road C-2 closed to stop the truck traffic through the
neighborhood?
6. Who worked with Presbyterian Homes at the purchase of the junior high to get
recreational facilities there?
7. Who worked with Roseville Parks and Recreation Department to establish the
master park plan?
8. Who donated land to help ensure that the public would have access to the lake
along Mildred Drive?
