EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall on Monday, the 10th day of July, 2006, at 6:00 p.m. The following members were present: Maschka, Pust, Kough, Thlan and Klausing and the following were absent: none Council Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Resolution No. 10413 RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT FOR CENTRAL COMMUNITY HOUSING TRUST APPLICATION FOR MINNESOTA HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY FUNDS IN 2006 FOR THE REHABILITATION OF HAR MAR APARTMENTS WHEREAS, the Har Mar Apartments, located at 2225 Snelling Avenue in the City of Roseville was identified by the City as an apartment complex in need ofrenovation; and WHEREAS, the property, with a 50% vacancy rate and deferred maintenance, is struggling in the market place and in need of reinvestment; and WHEREAS, the Har Mar Apartments is in need of moderate to substantial rehabilitation, as well as new marketing and management strategy; and WHEREAS, Central Community Housing Trust, a reputable Twin Cities affordable housing developer proposed to renovate the property and build new units at the site in Roseville with a mix of affordable and work force housing options. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Roseville hereby supports and strongly recommends funding to Central Community Housing Trust for the rehabilitation of the Har Mar Apartments with the goal to renovate the existing unit mix and make considerable improvements to the building exteriors, add landscaping, recreation areas, and significantly improve the curb appeal to convey current apartment community trends. The motion for the adoption ofthe foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Pust, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Maschka, Pust, Kough, Thlan and Klausing and the following voted against the same: none. Adopted by the Roseville City Council this loth day of July, 2006.
