City Council Regular Meeting - 07/10/06 Minutes - Page 33 8.c VFW, Post 7555 VFW Ihlan moved, Kough seconded, imposition of a mandatory minimum first violation fine of $500, as already prepaid, to the VFW Post 7555, and a one-day license suspension with the date of suspension to be at the discretion of the Police Chief, to be imposed for sale of alcohol to a minor in August of 2005; finding no certain extenuating or aggravating circumstances. Councilmember Kough spoke in opposition to the motion, given his interpretation of extenuating circumstances and the level of trust ofthe server for the undercover officer. Councilmember Ihlan spoke in support of the motion to remain consistent with previous votes. Mayor Klausing spoke in support of the motion; opmmg that it didn't matter if you were with a police officer or not, underage drinking was not to be tolerated. Roll Call Ayes: Maschka; Ihlan and Klausing. Nays: Pust and Kough. Recess Recess Mayor Klausing recessed the meeting at approximately 10:28 p.m. and reconvened at 10:38 p.m. 9. Public Hearing for an Off-Sale Liquor License for Roseville Properties at 1955 W County Road B-2 Mayor Klausing called the Public Hearing to order at approximately 10:40 p.m. Finance Director Chris Miller provided a review of the request of Roseville Properties Management Company for an Off-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License, for the property at 1955 W County Road B-2. Mr. Miller noted that, under City Code, Chapter 302, a maximum of ten off-sale intoxicating liquor lic'enses were allowed; and with the city's nine active licenses, this application represented the tenth and final license available.
