<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 08/14/06 <br />Minutes - Page 14 <br /> <br />Miller noted that the City Risk Management Fund was the <br />logical pool, as determined in 2004, based on a cost <br />benefit standpoint in reducing expenses due to serious <br />injuries of employees and patrons. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pust questioned the proposed project <br />schedule, slated to begin August 1, 2006. <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation Director Lonnie Brokke <br />Mr. Brokke advised that the firm was aware of the tight <br />schedule; and that the schedule would be modified as <br />appropriate. Mr. Brokke noted the preference for <br />completing the repairs prior to the ice season. <br /> <br />Pust moved, Maschka seconded, authorizing the Parks and <br />Recreation Department to enter into an agreement with <br />Bonestroo, Rosene and Anderlik for a not-to-exceed <br />amount of $7,900 for professional engineering services to <br />develop plans and specifications, and to advertise for bids <br />for the slab and bleacher heating system as outlined in the <br />proposal with funds to be taken from the City Risk <br />Management Fund. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan; Pust; Maschka; Kough; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />5.a <br /> <br />Reimbursable Twin Lakes Expenses <br />Interim City Manager Miller briefly reviewed the costs for <br />Tax Increment District #17 related to professional services <br />for the Twin Lakes Project; noting that the developer <br />typically reimbursed the City for costs within two weeks <br />of invoicing. <br /> <br />Maschka moved, Klausing seconded, approval of the <br />following claims and payments as presented, and <br />scheduled for reimbursement by Rottlund Homes: <br /> <br />ACH Payments <br />Total <br /> <br />4,399.35 <br />$4,399.35 <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan reiterated her request for <br />independent, outside counsel to review the Twin Lakes <br /> <br />Reimbursable Twin <br />Lakes Expenses <br />
