D.Leasing signs shall be removed within 7 days after execution of rental or lease agreement <br />or the closing of a sale. <br />10.01010.09 – S <br />EVERABILITY <br />This section has been eliminated since we have a severability clause for the whole <br />Zoning Ordinance found in section 1001.10. In place of this section, the Planning <br />Division has created a separate section regarding Other Temporary Signs, which is <br />currently located under Section 1010.03 Permits. The section Other Temporary <br />Signs has also been modified to eliminate items no longer necessary/applicable, and <br />some items/statement have been relocated to other sections of the proposal. <br />1010.09: SEVERABILITY:Other Signs <br />Each part of the Section is hereby declared to be independently operative, and if any <br />provisions of the Section is determined to be facially invalid, or invalid as applied to a <br />particular set of circumstances, the remaining parts and the application of such parts to <br />any person or circumstance other than those held invalid, shall not be affected thereby, <br />and it is hereby declared that such parts would have been passed independently of parts <br />known to be invalid. <br />A.No permit or permit fee shall be required for the following types of other signs, however <br />,all other provisions of this Chapter shall apply. <br />B. Not Required: A permit is not required for the following signs: <br />1.One noncommercial sign no larger than 6 square feet and no higher than 6 feet tall <br />may be displayed on any lot in all zoning districts without obtaining a permit. <br />2.Where this Chapter allows any commercial sign, a noncommercial sign meeting <br />the same size, location, and other standards shall be allowed without obtaining a <br />permit. <br />3.Signs including electronic message devices within the interior of buildings, or <br />signs which are not intended to be visible beyond the premises on which the signs <br />are located are not subject to the regulations set forth in this Chapter. (Ord. 1163, <br />7-24-1995) <br />4.Nameplate Signs <br />5.Construction Signs: Construction signs shall be confined to the site of <br />construction, alteration, or repair and shall be constructed of high-quality material <br />maintained in good repair. No more than one sign is permitted on each street <br />frontage the project abuts. The sign shall be removed within 180 days of the date <br />of the issuance of a building permit for the work. A conditional use permit is <br />required for a contractor sign to remain in place longer than allowed by this <br />subsection. Construction signs are allowed in zoning districts in accordance with <br />the following criteria: <br />ZONING SIZE HEIGHT PLACEMENT/SETBACK <br />DISTRICT <br />LDR1 & 16 sq. ft. 8 foot 5 feet from property line/zero if attached <br />PROJ0013_SignRegulations_RPCA_040412 <br /> <br />
