EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall on Monday, the 9th day of October, 2006, at 6:00 p.m. The following members were present: Ihlan, Klausing, Kough, Mascl1ka, and Pust and the following were absent: none. Council Member Pust introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Resolution No.1 0438 RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF CENTRAL COMMUNITY HOUSING TRUST'S APPLICATION TO THE RAMSEY COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSE FUND FOR THE HAR MAR APARTMENT REVITALIZATION PROJECT WHEREAS, the Har Mar Apartments, located at 2225 Snelling Avenue in the City of Roseville was identified by the City as an apartment complex in need of renovation; and WHEREAS, the property has a 50 percent vacancy rate and deferred maintenance, is struggling in the market place, and is in need of reinvestment; and WHEREAS, the Har Mar Apartments is in need of moderate to substantial rehabilitation, as well as new marketing and management strategy; and WHEREAS, Central Community Housing Trust, a reputable Twin Cities affordable housing developer, has proposed to renovate the property and build new units at the site in Roseville with a mix of affordable and workforce housing options. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Roseville hereby supports and strongly recommends funding to Central Community Housing Trust for the rehabilitation of the Har Mar Apartments, which includes lead and asbestos abatement within the buildings. The motion for the adoption ofthe foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Maschka, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Kough, Maschka, Ihlan, Pust, and Klausing; and the following voted against the same: none. Adopted by the Roseville City Council this 9th day of October, 2006.
