<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City of Roseville, County <br />of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall on Monday, the 9th day of <br />October, 2006, at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Ihlan, Klausing, Kough, Mascl1ka, and Pust <br /> <br />and the following were absent: none. <br /> <br />Council Member Pust introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />Resolution No.1 0438 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF CENTRAL COMMUNITY HOUSING TRUST'S <br />APPLICATION TO THE RAMSEY COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSE FUND <br />FOR THE HAR MAR APARTMENT REVITALIZATION PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Har Mar Apartments, located at 2225 Snelling Avenue in the City of <br />Roseville was identified by the City as an apartment complex in need of renovation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property has a 50 percent vacancy rate and deferred maintenance, is <br />struggling in the market place, and is in need of reinvestment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Har Mar Apartments is in need of moderate to substantial rehabilitation, <br />as well as new marketing and management strategy; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Central Community Housing Trust, a reputable Twin Cities affordable <br />housing developer, has proposed to renovate the property and build new units at the site in <br />Roseville with a mix of affordable and workforce housing options. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Roseville hereby supports <br />and strongly recommends funding to Central Community Housing Trust for the rehabilitation of <br />the Har Mar Apartments, which includes lead and asbestos abatement within the buildings. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption ofthe foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Maschka, <br />and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Kough, Maschka, Ihlan, <br />Pust, and Klausing; <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: none. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Roseville City Council this 9th day of October, 2006. <br />
