<br />City Council Minutes - 06/17/02 <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Jamnik presented. Schroeder asking about how non- <br />conforming fences would be treated under the proposed <br />ordinance. Klausing asked about "hardships." Maschka <br />asked about making an allowance for chain-link fences <br />less than a certain height and setback from the lake. <br />Kough asked about grandfathering existing fences. <br />Schroeder suggested a 42" limit on chain-link fences. <br />Kysylyczyn discussed the Americans with Disabilities <br />Act. Schroeder indicated he was not including slats in <br />permitted chain-link fences. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Kough, Klausing, Schroeder, Maschka <br />and Kysylyczyn. Nays: none. <br /> <br />Schroeder moved, Kysylyczyn seconded, setting the <br />second reading date of July 15, 2002 and asking the <br />Planning Commission for input on a revised ordinance. <br />Kysylyczyn asked staff to inform the Lake Association <br />and use media releases and the WRAP to inform affected <br />persons. <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Kough, Klausing, Schroeder, Maschka <br />and Kysylyczyn. Nays: none. <br /> <br />B. Twin Lakes Ordinance (Rezoning to Business Park B-6 <br />(PF3359) <br />Welsch presented. He overviewed the three-year effort to <br />address Twin Lakes. <br />Schroeder moved, Kough seconded, to approve the First <br />Reading of an amendment to the City Zoning Map by <br />rezoning from an existing mix of Industrial (1-1, 1-2), <br />Business (B-4, B-1) and Residential (R -1) land use zones <br />to Mixed Use Business Park District (B-6) for all the <br />parcels located within the Twin Lakes Master Plan area as <br />identified on the attached legal description, based on <br />findings in Section 4 and 5 of the project report dated <br />June 17, 2002. <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn asked for public comment. Bruce Carlson, <br />President of Northco, endorsed the concept but was <br />cautious about the effect on existing buildings and uses. <br />He brought no particular amending language today but <br /> <br />First Reading <br />Ordinance <br />Twin Lakes <br />Rezoning <br />(PF3359) <br />
