<br />City Council Minutes 07/22/02 <br />Page 20 <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />City Attorney, City Prosecutor, Bond Counsel and <br />Development Attorney <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn clarified his previous motion at a past <br />meeting addressing staff concerns. <br /> <br />City Manager Beets further clarified Council's intent that <br />staff can move forward with interviews, then return to the <br />City Council with staff recommendations; and stated that <br />with that clarification, staff will proceed with the <br />interview process. <br /> <br />Klausing moved, Maschka seconded, that City Manager <br />Beets make appointment of firms to provide services as <br />Bond Counsel, City Attorney, Development Attorney, <br />and Prosecuting Attorney, and advise the City Council of <br />his recommendations. <br /> <br />Councilmember Klausing quoted current City Code as to <br />the statutory appointment of City Attorneys. <br /> <br />After further discussion, Klausing modified his motion, <br />Maschka seconded, to include that the City Manager <br />provide information to the Council on his rationale in <br />selecting a firm in each of the four categories. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka, Schroeder, Kough, Klausing and <br />Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Kough seconded, to amend the <br />previous motion to direct the City Manager to bring back <br />a matrix that contains all data on the four (4) firms in each <br />category. <br /> <br />Ayes: <br />Nays: <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Schroeder, Kough, and Kysylyczyn. <br />Klausing, Maschka. <br /> <br />Law Firm Interviews <br />
