<br />Regular City Council Minutes -10/14/02 <br />Minutes - Page 2 <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn introduced Dick Kehr, his Excellency Carnival <br />the Prime Minister of Boreas Rex LXVI; Tim Madden, <br />Roseville resident, who is this year's Boreas Rex LXVI; <br />and the Queen of Snows, the former Miss Roseville <br />Jennifer Heying. <br />King Boreas then knighted Councilmen1bers Maschka, <br />Klausing, and Schroeder; Councilmen1ber Kough in <br />abstentia; and Mayor Kysylyczyn. <br />King Boreas was rudely interrupted by V olcanus Rex <br />LXV, Roseville resident Larry Mahoney, and his band of <br />merry men. King Boreas and V olcanus Rex then <br />proceeded to argue over many things such as the coming <br />of winter and spring. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Automatic External Defibrillator Presentation <br />Fire Chief Gasaway explained the importance of a strong <br />"Chain of Survival" to save lives, including defibrillation. <br />Deputy Fire Chief Petersen den10nstrated the Automatic <br />External Defibrillator. <br /> <br />Automatic <br />External <br />DefibriHator <br />Presentation <br /> <br />c. Accessory Housing <br />Perspective? <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Schroeder seconded, a motion <br />requesting the Planning Commission to study the issue and <br />report back to the City Council. <br /> <br />Units - What is Roseville's Accessory <br />Housing Units <br />Policy <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Councilmember Klausing commented on the value of <br />exploring the issue further; and the value of broad public <br />notice and input. <br /> <br />Councilmember Maschka supported referral to the <br />Planning Commission. He commented on the need for a <br />larger minimum lot to accommodate AHU's.. He also <br />commented on the value of accessory dwelling units for <br />some home occupations, such as consultants and graphic <br />designers. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder supported further investigation <br />by the Planning Commission and information about how <br />other communities have in1plemented it. <br />
