<br />City of <br />~~ <br /> <br />Minnesota <br /> <br />CITY CODE VIOLATION ENFORCEMENT <br />Flow Chart <br /> <br />A city code violation is received from a citizen or observed by staff. <br /> <br />An inspector reviews the city records, and then visits the site. If a violation <br />exists, it is documented and photographed. <br /> <br />A first notice is mailed giving five days (grass and garbage), twelve days <br />(vehicles) or thirty days (building repair) to correct the violation. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />A re-inspection occurs: <br /> <br />If the violation is corrected the file is closed. <br /> <br />If the violation remains a second notice is sent giving <br />an additional 5-30 days and warning of a possible <br />$100.00 fine or further legal action <br /> <br />A re-inspection occurs: <br /> <br />If the violation is corrected the file is closed. <br /> <br />If the violation remains, personal contact is initiated <br />to attempt a resolution. <br /> <br />If the violation is corrected the file is closed. <br /> <br />If the violation is not corrected: <br /> <br />If thought to be effective: an administrative ticket ($100.00) is issued. <br /> <br />A re-inspection occurs: <br /> <br />If the violation is corrected the file is closed. <br /> <br />If the violation remains, a Ramsey County Court <br />citation is issued and the case referred to City <br />Attorney. <br /> <br />C:\j)ocul11cnls and Scuings\NcalB\My Documcnts\city code violation enforcement tlowchart.doc <br />
