Charting Our Course <br />WARM IIP <br />(20 Minutes) <br />Chair Essex apened the meeting with a round table warm up <br />discussion. <br />MEETING GIIIDELINES <br />Meeting guidelines were handed out by Chair Essex (�ttached). <br />DEFINITION OF PIIBLiC SAFETY <br />A wide range of discussion followed in which the group worked to <br />define the concept of Public Safety. Handout on public safety <br />given by Barbara Kelly (attached). Some af the main points were: <br />- To state definition in positive terms, enhancing and <br />sustaining freedoms. <br />- Feeling of safety. <br />- Public safety equals quality of life starting with and <br />enabling �esidents. <br />David Norrgard volunteered to take the flip chart notes home to <br />develop a draft definition of public sa€ety. <br />VISIONING <br />The group started with a short loak at demagraphics and housing <br />stock in Roseville and the nEarby area. The group went on to <br />brainstorm ideas of public safety vision. Some of the points were: <br />:�� <br />
