(drugs, alcohol� <br />gambling, etc.). <br />- Increase the number of McGruff safe houses for children <br />to one per block. <br />- Enhance personal security in public places such as <br />parks, recreational areas, and mass transit "Park and <br />Ride" sites through augmented lighting, emergency access <br />teiephones, and other state of the art technologies. <br />- Increase police visibility throughout the community to <br />establish closer relationship6 with neighborhoods and t� <br />discourage offenders from attempting to commit crime in <br />Roseville. <br />- Work with surrounding cominunities to foilow suit in <br />employing similar crime preventian strategies to those <br />used in Roseville. <br />Emergencv Preparedness <br />. Expand the capabilities of the community to respond to <br />civil and natural emergencies. <br />- Continue work on anticipating and preparing for <br />potential civil and natural emergencies. <br />- Establish a method for giving warning notification to <br />every household and business inside as well as outside. <br />Fire Safetv <br />. Reduce the probabiiity a fire will occur in or on a <br />Roseville property, and to increase the capabilities of the <br />community to respond ta a fire emergency. <br />- Respond to a fire emergency within four minutes after <br />the request is received by the primary answering center. <br />- Require hard wired smoke detectors with battery backups <br />in all Roseville buildings. <br />2 <br />
