<br />City of <br /> <br />~~~ <br /> <br />Special City Council Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Minutes <br />Tuesday, October 31, 2006 <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Mayor Klausing called to order a Special Meeting of the Roseville <br />City Council at approximately 4:07 p.rn., for the purpose of <br />Selecting City Manager finalists and considering the next steps in <br />the City Manager search process. Councilmembers Kough; <br />Maschka; Ihlan; Pust and Mayor Klausing were all present. <br /> <br />City Attorney Scott Anderson; Human Resources Manager <br />Eldona Bacon; and Harry Brull of Personnel Decisions <br />International were also present. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing noted that Interim City Manager and Finance <br />Director Chris Miller had recused himself from this process. <br /> <br />City Council candidate Dan Roe was present; and several <br />members of the public. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Select City Manager Finalists <br />Councilmember Ihlan had several questions for the City Attorney <br />regarding redacting of names and additional job history <br />information from several of the applications received. Those <br />questions were: <br />I) Is there a legal basis for keeping names from the City Council <br />as opposed to protecting the information from the public due <br />to data privacy concerns at this point in the process? <br />2) Is there a legal basis for redacting information from the job <br />history and other statements of background and experience at <br />this point? <br /> <br />City Attorney Scott Anderson advised that there was no <br />requirement that either provision be done; however, noted that <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />4:07 p.m. <br /> <br />Select City <br />Manager Finalists <br />
