For City of Roseville, things are not as bad as they seem. Look below the surface, <br />Roseville's problerns are very easy to overcome but long-term solutions needed. <br />2. Willing to work with you. If going to address multi-family, it's i� our best intcrest <br />to help <br />3. Reasons for increased amount of garbage - affluence, people spending more on <br />newer stuff and redundant packaging- convcnience_ <br />4. Education is needed; ad agencies spend millions telling us what we need, and <br />convenience of product_ Government spends li#tle on importance of recycling and <br />reducing <br />5. Environmental - ieach public the difFerence between public and organized <br />collection <br />6. In Roseville situation is very good for cansumer, friendly for haulers. City looks <br />good. <br />7. Look at size of space that businesses allot for recycling <br />8. Problems with illegal dumping <br />9. Some people are just slobs, and nolhing we can do about it. <br />10. You have a group of people to work with. Competition increases resourcefulness <br />and choice <br />11. County has put fear into haulers <br />12. Don't want to go to a single collector - Governrnent will try to regulate. <br />
