A) QUAD PROJECT <br />BAGKGROUND: The opportunity to be a part o# this four rink project in Blaine was <br />discussed. Pros included increased ice availability for Rose�ille residents. Cons <br />'snc�uded possible negative impact on the Skating Cer�ter and the trave! distance €rom <br />Roseviile. <br />REC4MMENDATlON: No recommendation was made. <br />B) EMMETT WILLiAMS GYMNASIUM <br />BACKGR4UND: Recent partner�hip agreemen#s befween the �ity �nd the Roseville <br />School District for the joint funding of construction ha�e provided the communiiy with <br />access to important recreaiional facilities. Expanded gymnasiums we�e constructed at <br />both Brimhali and Centraf Park Elementary schools and a gymnastics certer at the <br />High Sc�ool. In a!I these cases the facilities are avai�abfe #or community use at minim,af <br />cost after school hours. These agreements were seen as an impartant mechanism for <br />�e�eraging �ity recreational funds. TF�e possibility of such a cooperative agreement for <br />gymnasium construction at Emmett Williams Elemerrtary School was discussed. This <br />school is not in Rosevi�fe although the majority of the stt�dents are Roseville residents. <br />REC0INMENDATIQN: Because of construction time constraints, no formal <br />recommendation was made. <br />� <br />�� <br />
