BAS�C CITY SERVICES AND TAXES <br />Roseville residents were asked a series of questions about <br />city services and fiscal issues. Overall, city services are <br />highly regarded. And, perceptions about property taxes have not <br />yet reached the point of hostility. In fact, residents are very <br />supportive of increasing property taxes in a fEw areas of <br />concern, particularly with respect to environmental protection. <br />PavemEnt Management Proqram: <br />Residents were asked a pair of queries about Roseville's <br />"Pavement Management Program." They were initially asked: <br />Has your street been reconstructed <br />as part of the City•s �+Pavement Manaqe- <br />ment Program?" <br />Forty percent reported their streets had been recanstructed: <br />YES............• ..........................40� <br />NO........................................57� <br />D�N'T KNOW/REFiJSED .........................3� <br />Only three percent were unsure. <br />"Yes" responses were higher among: <br />* Retirees <br />* 55-64 year olds <br />* $37,500-$50,000 yearly income households <br />* Residents of Neighborhoods 1,2,6,7,9,14 <br />"No'" responses peaked among: <br />* Residents of Neighborhoods 8,11,12 <br />* Zane 3 residents <br />It is noteworthy that some number of residents in each <br />neighborhood thought their pavement had been reconstructed as <br />part of this program. <br />Respondents who indicated their streets had been <br />25 <br />
