PARKS AND RECREATIOPT <br />Roseville residents were asked a series of questions about <br />parks and recreational opportunities present in the community. <br />Overall, evaluations were extremely favorable; the City has dane <br />an outstanding job in providing ample and diverse ot'terings to <br />its residents. But, Roseville citizens are not complacent about <br />their parks and recreation system. Respondents were also willing <br />to take steps and incur costs in maintaining and extending their <br />park system offerings. <br />General Rating of Park Facilities: <br />Residents were asked for a summary judgment of the park <br />facilities in the community: <br />How would you rate the park facilities <br />in Roseville -- excellent, qood, only <br />fair, or poor? <br />Ninety-six percent awarded the facilities an "excellent" or <br />"gaod" rating: <br />EXCELLENT .................................62�5 <br />GOOD......................................340 <br />ONLY FAIR ..................................2� <br />POOR ..............•---.....................0% <br />DON'T KN�W/REFUSED .........................2� <br />The sixty-two percent "excellEnt" is the highest rating in the <br />Metropolitan Area. <br />"Excellent" ratings were highest among: <br />* Professional-Technical households <br />* Some college education <br />* $75,000-$100,000 yearly incame households <br />* Zone 1 residents <br />The park system, then, is one of the major positive attributes of <br />the community in the minds of its residents. <br />55 <br />
