NEIGHBORHOOD <br />Survey respondents were asked a series of questions <br />regarding their neighborhood including general appearance, <br />street conditions, park and recreational opportunities, <br />safety waZking alone at night, noise, rats and standing <br />storm water. <br />A large majority (90�) of residents have favorable <br />impressions regarding the general appearance of their neigh- <br />borhood; 34 percent ra�ed it as excellent and 56 percent as <br />good. Nine percent rated the general appearance of their <br />neighborhood as fair and one percent said it was poar <br />(Question 27) . <br />Approximately seven out of ten Roseville residents have <br />favorable impressions of the candition of the street and <br />road surfaces in their neighborhood; 19 percent rated it as <br />excelZent and 53 percent said good. The proportion of <br />residents selecting the 1�ss favorable ratings were 20 <br />percent fair and 8 percent poor.
