What worked well?? (remcmbcr to ihink about the planning and implementation) <br />■ Four Sign-in sheets - S0+ in attendance <br />■ A diverse group in attendance — comtnunity members, ethnicity, gender, abilities, <br />age, nationality and country of origin <br />■ Speakers wexe well received <br />■ Food was a big hit! <br />■ Commitment to Action envelopes received? <br />■ United Way Checklist kept us on tract <br />[need to check withUYV, Loudi. uerre.s: (1) how many envelopes did we receive? (2) <br />how many days from date af actuul dialague will we mail these envelopes? (3) do we <br />have any knotivledge of commitments — what did they indicate they wanted to accomplish <br />— to do? <br />2. What did not work well? <br />■ Sign in table — next timc lct us use a round table for sign in <br />■ Also, let us usc round tables for villages. <br />■ Lct's have a name tag and assigned seat at a table all completed and given to <br />participant at regisiration — thou�ts are this helps with mixing the groups; is a <br />good connector etc. <br />■ Use of Big World Map where people can just put a push-pin of wk�ere they are <br />from when then come in <br />■ Get speakers to focus their talk on only one thing �be specific] = i.e. speak of: <br />Personal Lxperience; Professional Experience; Their Move to this community <br />3. How would you improve planning and itx�plementation process? <br />• Publish a Planning Calea�dax <br />• Devote more time to Planning <br />■ Encourage members of Plaiming Team to be specif c with commitments and <br />response <br />Operate with a ciearer/better scnsc of "urgency/importance" <br />4. Ncxi Steps: <br />• Follow Up with United Way: Loudi and Victoria re mailing of' Commitment <br />Envelopes; what are numbers; will the United Way be willing to partner with us <br />again for another dialogue - Thelma responsible <br />• How do we s#ay connected to ihe attendees: Use a thank you postcard as a <br />connector <br />• Send out a thank you post card from the City to each attendee now (using sign-in <br />sheets) Bill Malinen responsible <br />
