1'������� <br />�.�� r, ., . �_ �� � � <br />Human Rights Commission <br />Bias Hate Cri�ae Response <br />Purpose <br />To establish a local response to bias/hate cnmes and ta join with the League of <br />Minnesota Human Rights Commissions (LMHRC) in establishing a statewide response <br />mechanism to counter hate crimes. This procedure is based on outlines provided by the <br />LMHRC. These outlines have been modificd to serve as a specifc action guide for the <br />Roseville Human Rights Commission in the event of a bias/hate crime. The Rosevilie <br />Human Rights Commission will not play an investigative role in such crirnes but wiil <br />provide support to victims of such crimcs. <br />Goal <br />Council approval. <br />Goal <br />Commitment firom RosevilZe Police Department that the Roseville Human Rights <br />Commission (RHRC) will be notified as soon as possible after they receive a confirnied <br />bias/hate crime complaint. Contact with the RHRC can be made through lhe Roseville <br />staff liaison. <br />The RHRC will also provide the Roseville Police Department with any information <br />regarding haie cnmes that its members receive as a result of their ro�e as Cornmissioners. <br />Goal <br />Cultivate a nctwork within the carnmunity that can be activated promptly to support <br />victims of bias/hate crime. <br />G�al <br />Raise awareness of this issue within the community. <br />-1- <br />
