Gtyapin <br />Date: April 15, 2004 <br />Re: 7anet Delmore Recommendations <br />'i7�e purpose of this memorandum is to outline the suggestions/recommendations that were <br />conveyed to me by Ms. Janet Delmore regarding d1e processes that the City of Roseville uses in <br />responding to citizen complaints concerning it police department.' <br />1. Rec}uire on-going professional diversity training on issues of race for all members of ttie <br />Roseville Police Departn�ent. <br />2. Provide a citizen fnendly rnethod of makeng complaints to the police department including <br />insuriug the availability of complaint fozms at ihe depart�neni. In addition, copies of ct�e any <br />complaints should routinely be sent to the mayor, city administrator and the police chief. <br />3. A citizen that makes a complaint should receive a follow-np call from a city council member or a <br />member of the city staff. <br />4. "I'he city should provide specific information ahout metbod and results of iis investigation to <br />citizens that make complaints. <br />' I take no position on this suggesiions/recommendarions; I am simply conveying them to the <br />comrnissioner and will await discussion of them at our next meeting. <br />� <br />
