Roseville Sister City Assoc�ation Minutes November 3, 2004 Present: James and Joyce Boardson, Mary Meyers, Jan Schultz, Tom and Virginzs Turba Yur.ido Farmer. Minutes: 1. Recent Activities: Tom attended the Minnesota Sister Cities Tnternational Annual Conference and brou�ht several pamphlets for the group to look at. 2. Joyce gave the treasury report. Yurido reported that she is requesting reim- buresment for the rental fee at Fairview Comm. as back-up for our August picnic activities. 3. Shinmachi: It will not be long before the group will be gearing up for the 2005 exchange. The Boy Scout 8-2006 jamboree wi11 be held in Japan. G. Costa RAca: Eduardo may be sending p�ctures from our med student's visit to Cartago and an address for Maritza (former mayor) in hopes of getting our computer donation down to Cartago. Tom will check if Tony Anderson is taking another group down for the presidential elections. A good time in the past has been had by all whom went. 5. New Eusiness: The question was raised as to whether we should join Sister City International. The was infavor of joining if. the City would help pay for khe yearly f.ee of $450. Tom mentioned that the Shoreview group was very active and had membership dues. Businesses also contributed $1Q0 or gave discounts. 6. Information Items: �oseville City Hall Art Display Committee is being formed. Tom will see about having one of our members be on the committee. Parks and Rec is now housed in City Hall. "The Cart" is now back in City Ha11. Our display case remains at the Fairview Commun�ty Center. A question not raised at the meeting is a display case for oux ass. brochures which we had at the prevz.o��s P& R locakion. 7. Next meeting is December 7 at 6:30 at City Hall.
