MINUTES <br />ROSEVILLE SISTER CITY COMMITTEE <br />MONDAY, APRIL 22, 1991 <br />Members Present: Jean Hanson, Martha Hardesty, Charles Scott, and <br />Susan Weber. <br />Members Absent: None. <br />Others Present: Steve North, Assistant City Manager. <br />Business <br />l. Steve North indicated the City Council is very appreciative of the <br />Committee members' willingness to volunteer their time and energy <br />to serve on the Sister City Committee. He commented the Council <br />was supportive and interested in the Sister City Program. Council <br />Member Brenda Thomas recently attended a Sister City meeting in <br />Des Maines, and the Committee may want to invite her to a future <br />meeting. <br />The City will pravide the following support services: <br />1) Typing and distribution af agendas and minutes (on City <br />letterhead). <br />2) Maintain Sister City file. <br />3} Take messages, answer questions, etc. <br />4) Reserve meeting raom, post notice of ineetings. <br />2. North suggested the Committee select a"Chairperson" and a <br />Secretary. <br />3. The Committee discussed having more members. North will put a <br />notice in the Roseville papers and City Newsletter. Members are <br />appointed by the City Cauncil. <br />A. It was stated support groups wi�l be needed in the future. <br />4. Scatt stated he will see that Committee members names are put on <br />the SCI mailing list. <br />A. Scott had a packet of information that will be passed among <br />the other Committee members {Hardesty, Weber, and Hanson) and <br />discussed at an upcoming meeting. <br />B. Scott stated the City of Shoreview has just gone through the <br />process of a Sister City, and felt it would be beneficial to <br />invite members of their committee to a future meeting. <br />
