Roseville Sister City Association <br />Minutes <br />September 7, 2004 <br />Present: 3oyce Boardson, Lilian Dargis, Yuriko Farmer, Mrs. and Mr. Meyer, Jan <br />Schultz, Tom and Virginia Turba <br />Minutes: � <br />1. Last mee�i�� mi�µtes approved. <br />2, Treasure�'s report: The grant from the Roseville Community �und, $2,500.00, <br />was completely dispersed between the four students and two adult chaperones. <br />The total cost for hosting the Japanese s�udents was $1,005.55. The group <br />agreed to have some moriies transfered from checking to savings as we will nat <br />b� expecting zxpenses unt�l ne�t year, now. <br />3. Shinmachi: A student ex�hange, or at least students from Japan next year <br />is in question due to changes o��uring in Japan. <br />4. Costa Rica: We are st�ll hoping to find some one to receive �he computer <br />that �im and Tom arranged to have sent to Cartago. Tom is hoping to get in <br />touch wifih Eduardo, who apparently is still in Florida, to f.ind some one who <br />could receive the computer in C.R. <br />5. Activities: Sister Cities.International annual conference w�ll be meeting <br />Saturday, October 2nd. For more information, contact Tom. <br />Tom wi�l �h�ck pn the new display case at City Hall, and w�ll we be able to <br />return the C.R. cart to City Ha111. <br />3oyce will find out �here our meetings will be held now that the remodeYing <br />is finished. A1so, We need to figure out where we w�ll meet in November as <br />that is rhe presidential elections day. <br />6. Next meeting: Tuesday, October Sth at 6:30, CiCy Hall, Maple Room.
