z <br />Roseville Sister City Association <br />Minutes <br />December 5, 2005 <br />Present: Joyce Boardson, Yuriko Farmer, Mary Meyers, Tom Turba <br />Guests: Craig Klausing, Peggy Sandmann <br />Minutes: <br />1) Treasurer's report: $1fl0.00 dollars was deducted for a contribution to the <br />Costa Rica - Minnesota Foundation in honor of Tony Anderson who recently <br />passed away. <br />2) Shinmachi: Relationships wi�h 5hinmacchi, Japan were formally being dissolved. <br />Mayor Craig Klausing was present to sign the Disolution of the Sister City <br />�ifiliation. This was translated by Yuriko and she will mail it to Shinmacchi <br />for the officials there to sign. Mayor Klausing asked the group if we have <br />any other potentia]_.city in 3apan for a Sister City relati.onship. No one is <br />aware of a city at this time. <br />3} Costa Rica: Peggy Sandmann from the Roseville Community band was present. The <br />band i.s interested in going to C.R. The group felt the presidential elections <br />in February was a good opgortunity as an introduction in 2006 for a 2007 trip. <br />Elowever, that is now unlikely with the death o£ Tony A. There is a group of <br />lawyeres planning to go in March, 2006. This may be a potential opportunity for <br />some members to connect with.
