<br />The retiremenl fund is provided t�
<br />volut�teer firefighters. (Full-time
<br />personnel such as thc Fire Chief and
<br />Assistant Fire Chief, are not cov-
<br />ered k�y this fund.} To be vested, ten
<br />years of service are nceded. At
<br />retiremenl, the firefighter may lake
<br />a lump-sum paymenl, or an annuity
<br />amount The City of Roseville and
<br />the State of Minnesota contribute to
<br />the fire relief fund_ CurrenCly, 48
<br />persons are drawing from lhe fund.
<br />Of the 48, four xre surviving spous-
<br />cs.
<br />There are about. 26 current fircfight-
<br />ers who have ten years or more of
<br />service.
<br />Most of the firetighters (60%n) wait
<br />until age 50 �o collect ret'srement.
