<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, Minnesota was duly held at the City Hall in said City on Monday, the 29th day of <br />January, 2007, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Roe, Kough, Pust, Ihlan and Klausing and the following <br />were absent: none <br /> <br />Councilmember Roe introduced and moved the adoption of the following resolution: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10473 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING TRAFFIC STUDY <br />AT COUNTY ROAD B AND RICE STREET <br /> <br />WHEREAS, traffic flow at the intersection of County Road B and Rice Street is impeded by the <br />configuration of the Rice Street Bridge over Highway 36 and the number of intersections in close <br />proximity to the bridge, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, local business in this area and residential neighborhoods and pass through vehicles <br />generate substantial traffic flows on County Road B and Rice Street, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, most traffic in this area is impacted by the impediments at Rice Street and Trunk <br />Highway 36 Interchange area, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, efficient traffic flow and access to the regional transportation system is important to <br />economic development around this corridor, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, future economic development and redevelopment may be jeopardized if employees <br />and customers are negatively impacted by poor traffic flow in the area of the Rice Street <br />interchange, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville that: <br /> <br />The Roseville City Council supports legislation for the funding of the design of a new <br />interchange at Rice Street and Trunk Highway 36 in the City of Roseville. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by pust and upon vote <br />being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Roe, Kough, Pust, Ihlan and Klausing and the <br />following voted against the same: none <br />
