Minutes 50th Anniversarv Committee September 4 , 1997 Attending: Don A�►derson, Frances Anderson, Carmen Bell, Rose Diesticr, Donavon Fisher, Deb Hall, Denny Harris, Mary Harris, Pat Johnson,Tom Johnson, Margaret Kehr, Tom Kough, Gearge Krinke, Bari� Mastel, Ruth Musbach, Steve North, Sheila Prok, Kathy Welsch, Betty Wolfangle, Don Zibe�l The ineeting was calkcd to order at 7:00 P.M. by Pat Johnson. The minutes from the last meeting were reviewed. The carrection of the spelling of Malson and Hansen were made. Birthday Party in Central Park Lorraine Hansen has contacted the Roseville Bakery. They will either donate or give a good price on a cake. 4#h of July Celebration No report. Taste of Roseville and Volunteer Appreciatian Bab Matson has formed a committee. The other members are Loni Curley, George (Bud) Merrill, and Betty Woifangie. This committee will encompass three areas. 1. Tasie of Roseville 2_ Volunteer Recognition Program 3. Identify and contact past and current volunteers. A discussion of a gift to go along with the certificates was discussed. Mugs and gold keys to the city were two ideas. A motionwas made and seconded to have several people from the committee will go to check out mugs at Trademark and see about an extension on their Septembcr 12th deadline. The niotion was passed. Street Dance at the Oval Tom Kough circulatod a list of professional bands and pnces. The Rockin Hollywoods was a popular choice. Toin will check with the band on the date. The Banjo Bandits presented a twenty minute show to the co�►mittee. The show was enjoyed by all, and it was voted on to have them perform at the street dance. Tom Kough, Steve North, and Steve North will check on the leasing of bandstands. Area school gymnasiums will be looked into in case of bad weather. SOth Anniversay Dinner Betty Wolfangle and Carmen Bell will be co-chairs. The committee has noi met. They are looking for ideas on a guest speaker. If you have any suggestions contact Betty or Carmen. Salute to Business and Industry No report. Finance Committee 'T'he committee has sent a letter out They will be meeting within the next two weeks. Publieity Committee Pat Johnson did a press release to the local newspapers. Logo: Barb Mastel had a sample sweatshirt with the SOth logo to show the committee. It isn't known if SOth Annoversary items will be on sale before 1998. It was suggested items be on sale at the OVAL because of national events.
