50th Anniversary Committee Minutes Page 2 January 7, 1998 FIIdANCE COMMITTEE—Tom Johnson reported that the Committee had received a grant from the Roseville Community Fund in the amount of $7,500 to fund the following events: • Rose Parade--$2,5d0 • Taste of Roseville/Salute to Volunteers/Salute #o Business and industry—$2,500 • Dancing �n Roses—$2,500 Tom indicated the Finance Committee is also working with Coca-Cola to serve as a sponsor. Barb Mastel suggested applying for a grant from the North Suburban Youth Association. Barb also reported that #he Knights of Columbus plan to donate funds to the Rase Parade and other 50th Anniversary events. PUBLICITY COMMITTEE—Ray Barfion inciicateci he and Ken Hansen had worked together in preparing a card to accompany the Anniversary buttons. Joan Gerten distributed information regard+ng video aptions for covering Roseville's 50th Anniversary. Pat suggested Committee Chairs contacf Joan if they would like information on the CN Channel. SKATING CENTER EVENTS COORDINATION—Don Anderson indicated the 50th Anni�ersary celebration wi11 be publicized during the annual "Everything's Coming Up Roses" Ice Show. He reported it will not be possible, because of cosfis, to piace the Anniversary Iogo in the middle of the ice rink, but that it will be placed on the baards. Don suggested the best opportunity to sell shirts at the Skating Center is during the Ice Show and there will need to be advanced promotion. BUTTON COMMITTEE—Ken Hansen reported that temporary cards ha�e been prepared and placed with the buttons. Ke� and Denny Harris are collect+ng donations for prizes which will be indicated on the final cards for the buttons. SHIRT COMMITTEE—No report at this time. CRAFT COMMITTEE—Dolores Niewald indicated she has received requests from 12 individuals for space at the Craft Fair to be held during the Taste Of Roseville.
