City of Roseville, Minnesota <br />DEPARTMENTAL DESCRIPTION <br />2002 Budget <br />I.jAWFUL GAMBLING <br />Fund: Lawful Gambling <br />Account Number: 270 - 067.000 <br />Organizational Accountability: Finance Director <br />It is the mission of the Lawful Gambling Fund to ensure that <br />those organizations, which are conducting lawful gambling, are <br />acting within the standards of both city ordinances and state <br />statutes. The City of Roseville's primary interest in lawful <br />gambling is to assure the citizens that the gambling is <br />conducted within the city ordinances. <br />CITY RESOURCE INPUTS <br />* A .50 FTE was reclassified to Finance <br />EXPECTED CITY OUTCOMES <br />Strategic Outcomes: <br />Strong ordinances and enforcement <br />to benefit the community will benefit <br />are kept <br />City conflicts of interest with respect <br />to gambling donations are avoided <br />IV45 <br />2002 STxATEGIC WORK <br />PLAN <br />Work with the State to maintain <br />legal and honest lawful gambling in <br />Roseville and Minnesota <br />Continue the sound financial <br />reporting from the permitted <br />gambling groups <br />2000 ACHIEVEMENTS <br />Ali Preserved a high level of <br />satisfaction associated with <br />lawful gambling in the City of <br />Roseville <br />Maintained the public's <br />confidence in both the <br />enforcement and operations of <br />charitable groups <br />Assisted the bingo groups in <br />their move to new facilities <br />Citizen Benefit /Impact: <br />•:� Lawful gambling is conducted in a <br />manner that is acceptable to the <br />community's high standards <br />The community directly benefits by <br />the lawful gambling activities that are <br />permitted <br />
